Kobe Bryant News L.A. Lakers
Lakers winning despite Bryant trade talks
Despite all the talk about where Kobe Bryant will be traded to, the Los Angeles Lakers haven't been paying attention.
The Los Angeles Lakers, who are in second place in the Pacific division, try to get back on track Sunday when they host the New Jersey Nets.
After a four-game winning streak, Los Angeles has dropped back-to-back games. On Friday, Kobe Bryant scored 28 points and Vladimir Radmanovic added 18 in a 107-94 setback to the Boston Celtics.
Radmanovic, who hit 3-of-6 3-pointers, is just one role player that has picked up his production. Jordan Farmar, the second-year UCLA product, has also been asserting himself on the offensive end, averaging 10.3 points and 3.0 assists in 21 minutes per contest.
The Nets enter the game with wins in their last two games after losing six straight. New Jersey has been given a lift by the return of Vince Carter, who has scored 13 and 15 points, respectively, in the two victories.
Carter missed five games after spraining his right ankle against the Celtics on November 10.
